WMRAC Members are ladies actively involved in Motorsport; either working within the industry as drivers, engineers, officials and volunteers – or supporting their families: husbands, sons & daughters to drive their passion to become the stars of tomorrow.
The Women’s Motor Racing Associates Club – affectionately known as the Doghouse Owners’ Club – was established in 1962 by the wives of Grand Prix legends from the 50s and 60s, bearing the names of Hill, Chapman, van-Damm, Grant, Webb & Cooper.
Originally set-up to provide support to the wives, girlfriends and families of drivers -particularly in the event of tragedy – the WMRAC continues today to provide Friendship, Support and Fundraising. Offering a social and supportive environment for women involved in motorsport (through various roles and disciplines) and providing a series of events and social occasions, some of which are in support of our chosen charities.
In 2019 the WMRAC are fundraising for;
- British Motorsport Marshals Club
- Race Against Dementia
- Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance
