MEET LORINA AND HER LEGENDARY CAR AT THE AUTOSPORT SHOW
Lorina McLaughlin’s ex-Michael Schumacher Benetton B192 will be the star attraction at the British Women Racing Drivers’ Club stand at the Autosport Show.
The club always brings a few of its members’ cars to ASI. This year, the Benetton with its evocative yellow Camel livery is bound to draw attention from the passing crowds.
Michael Schumacher used the Ross Brawn/Rory Byrne-designed car to win the 1992 Belgian Grand Prix, his first Formula 1 victory, making this a historically significant car.
BWRDC President Lorina has made her own share of history in this car and other F1 machinery, using it to win a string of Ladies’ fastest times at Goodwood and becoming the first woman to race an F1 car on tracks including Baku.
Lorina will be on hand at the BWRDC stand (1444, Hall 1) at ASI in her role as the club’s President. She was one of the judges for the BWRDC Gold Star awards, the winners of which will be announced on Saturday 11th January 2020.
